Emydoidea blandingii Threatening Turbine Project Revoked

A proposed wind turbine development in Prince Edward County, east of Toronto got revoked in favour of the endangered species after the project was judged to cause the turtle “serious and irreversible” harm. This is the third time in three years ! Cheryl Anderson the past president of the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists said that “It’s been a long haul”. According to her, the tribunal found that none of the proposed solution to the problem would have made the place a safe place for the endangered turtle.
