3230 Pig-nosed Turtles Saved From Smugglers

The Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry along with the Marine Resource and Fisheries Monitoring Post stopped a smuggling attempt of 3230 Carettochelys insculpta in Jakarta. The turtles were found in 190 plastic boxes in four luggages. The smugglers attempted to send the luggages through an old airport entrance that has no X-ray devices.
