The Biggest Western Painted Turtle Ever Found

A big western painted turtle was found in Regina. With a shell of 26.6cm, this female might be the biggest western painted turtle that was ever found. A few days earlier, another pretty big turtle was found as well. To better understand this species’ ecology, both turtles were equipped with radio transmitter and are part of a scientific research project. Scientific think that these 2 big specimens are the sign of a healthy population.
