This weekend has seen a number of articles related to turtle and tortoise poaching. From people selling tortoise meat from a hotel and the usual smuggling of animals through airports. At least people are being arrested and the animals released back into the wild. There is even a mention of increasing the fines to act as more of a deterrent to smugglers.
