Tracking Wild Spotted Turtles

Anthony goes out into the field with Arick Barsch of the Turtle Conservation Project in Connecticut in search of the declining Spotted Turtle Clemmys guttata

In this video, hear from the source regarding the status of this species in the wild and their behavior during overcast days in the Northeast.

These two Spotted Turtles were HUGE in person. There’s no way to tell how long they have been living and reproducing here. Arick’s work to protect them has gone a long way, considering how important each adult turtle is to the viability of a given population.
