Turtle Survival Alliance Highlights Their Spring Break Activities
Do you think you had an awesome spring break? Well what could be more exciting than spending break swimming in a pond and grabbing turtles? That’s what a group of volunteers from universities and colleges around the United States did earlier this year. The TSA, partnering with the NAFTRG, hosted the spring turtle sampling in both New Braunfels, TX and Florida. With more than 31 volunteers attending the Texas event, this was the most successful recorded sampling year. Cameramen from Nat Geo Wild documented the weekend, and many species were captured, recorded, and re-released. Florida was equally as successful with a catch rate of 1004 animals. Additionally, the presence of manatees made it a memorable event. Read more about the adventures of the weekend on the TSA blog.
