The Hoàn Kiem turtle (Rafetus leloii) is a controversial taxon of turtle from Southeast Asia, with the only know specimen in Hoàn Kiem Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. Some Vietnamese scientists still consider it to be a distinct species from Rafetus swinhoei, but most authorities do not – they regard it as a synonym. The wikipedia page on Hoan Kiem turtle is a good reference.
