Radiated Tortoise Could Go Extinct In The Wild Faster Than Expected
The Turtle Survival Alliance conducted surveys in 2014 in southern Madagascar regarding the poaching crisis. Everything looked good until they conducted another survey in 2015. A massive poaching crisis resurfaced in 2015 with records number of live tortoises confiscated. As a consequence, the species is declining faster than what we thought and the species could go extinct in the wild much faster than expected.
