62 Vulnerable Turtles And Tortoises Rescued In Pakistan
It is pretty uncommon yet it happened in Pakistan : 62 vulnerable turtles and tortoises were discovered by the roadside. The circumstances of this discovery remains unknown but they believe these turtles were discarded by illegal wildlife traders. 25 reptiles were already dead. Both species Testudo horsfieldii and Geoclemys hamiltonii are classified as Vulnerable by the IUCN Red List. The tortoises and turtles were shifted to Sindh Wildlife Department from where they were sent for release
