Girl Scout realeases sea turtles

A two year project by an Ocean Springs Girl Scout saw the release of four sea turtles into the Mississippi sound, an article on the USGS use of satellite trackers to gather data about the Dry Tortugas Loggerheads and desert tortoises roam around a biology lab and more in the Conservation section. The Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre opens a new outdoor education centre, Lincoln Childrens Zoo opens a tortoise trek and the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) starts e-learning for its marine sciences; in the Education section. The last suspect is caught in the case of the tortured tortoises in Weslaco, a Tulum man is arrested for stealing sea turtle eggs and a woman is sentenced for stealing a tortoise; in the Crime & Punishment section.
