Conservationist keep things moving

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center performs amazing work for sea turtles and the first article in the Conservation section has a spectators view of that work. Also an article about STOP, the Sea Turtle Oversight Protection group in the resort of Lauderday-By-The-Sea. Lowestoft has started it’s annual Turtle Trail which feature 20 turtle models dotted about town, see the Miscellany section.

The loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) spend up to 85% of their day submerged, with males being the more active divers than females. The average duration of dives is 15โ€“30 min, but they can stay submerged for up to four hours.
