3,000 spiny softshell turtles to be released
The Upper Thames Conservation Authority (UTRCA) reports a record-breaking year as their Species at Risk Reptile Team prepares to release 3,000 spiny softshell turtles back into the Thames River. Scott Gillingwater, said the record number of hatchlings being released this year is a positive sign that work over the past two decades is beginning to pay dividends; see the Conservation section for the full report and other stories. One tortoise stolen and one found in the Lost and Found section. I would love that sculpture outside my house; in the Miscellany section.
